The Rapid Modular Casting program starts with Bearon working with you to develop a 3D part model and casting tree. Specialized simulation software is utilized to predict metal flow and enhance casting quality. Upon completion of mold optimization, 3D mold and core models are produced and used to produce a bonded sand mold.
This unique program is perfect for short-run casting projects for parts measuring up to 10”x10”x5”.
The process is great for converting weldments and forgings, and for legacy or end-of-life projects where the need for castings doesn’t justify tooling. This process is also ideal for rapidly testing new designs. If you have high-volume needs our traditional casting service might be a better option.
Parts can be made from gray iron, malleable iron, ductile iron, brass, or aluminum.
